Frequently asked questions
Short answers about ordering, prices, files and delivery.
How long does an order take?
Two to five working days depending on size, quantity and material. Small single parts usually ship the next day. You get an email at every status change.
How exactly is the price calculated?
From the weight of material that will actually be used, and the machine time estimated from the part volume, height and layer thickness, plus a fixed setup fee per item and then the margin. The full cost breakdown is shown to you on the quote page before you order.
What units does the file use?
Millimetres. If the dimensions on the quote page look far smaller or larger than expected, the file was most likely exported in inches — re-export it in millimetres.
What if my file is larger than the build plate?
The site will reject it and tell you the maximum size. You can then scale the part down or split it into pieces to be bonded later. Contact us if you would like help splitting it.
Do you accept STEP and other formats?
Yes, but without instant pricing. STL is the only format we price automatically. Send a STEP file through the contact page and we will reply with a price.
How accurate are the dimensions?
Expected tolerance is ±0.3 mm or ±0.3% of the dimension, whichever is greater. Holes come out slightly tighter than drawn, so if the fit is critical please say so in the order notes.
What happens to my files?
They are stored in a folder that cannot be reached from the internet, are never shared or reused for any purpose, and are deleted automatically 90 days after delivery.
Can I order without an account?
Uploading a file and seeing its price needs no account. Placing the order needs an account with a verified email — a minute at your first order — so order updates reach you and your files and orders stay in one place.
Do you offer quantity discounts?
Yes, automatically: change the quantity on the quote page and the unit price drops straight away according to the tier.
Can an order be cancelled?
Before printing starts, yes. Once the printer has started the material has been consumed. Contact us quickly if you need to.
